With over 30 years of experience in the events industry, John understands the needs of membership organisations deeply and intrinsically. After spending the first 14 years of his career as a PCO, he founded Shocklogic in 1997, where today he leads an international team to deliver cutting edge event management technology. I started at an event company, and then the pandemic hit. After helping them pivot to virtual, I realized more event organizers could use my help. Virtual Positive was a direct result of this. Eventually, I ran into my own time limitations and started looking for an efficient way to help more people within the event industry.
I'm currently developing a tool called Event Mender that takes out all the guesswork for event organizers. This tool will be a fully customizable one-stop shop for organizing wildly successful and profitable events. From speaker acquisition and marketing to AV services and virtual platforms in one central place.
